The leadership of the Kogi Youth Leaders Forum of Friday 17th October honoured the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Usman Oyibe Jibrin and AIG Theophilus Kayode Joel as Kogi 2014 most distinguished ambassador of good leadership.
The special reception which has in attendance Kogi leaders at all level was held at the National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja.
Present at the occasion was Rear Admiral Olutoye of the Naval Headquarters, Hon Tajudeen Yusuf, Vice Chairman House of Representatives committee on ICT, ACP Laddo of the Force headquarters, Pastor Femi Obalemo, SSA to Kogi Governor, Sir Barny Ojiah of Crown Resources Development Ltd, Mr Ben Owoleke, Convener/Leader of Kabba online forum Owe Forum and a host of other special forum.
Omoluabi Olabode Adeyemi, the Board of Trustee Chairman of Kogi Youths Leaders Forum, said the special reception was initiated to promote and celebrate the indigenes of the state that had made the state proud in their various endeavours.
Responding on behalf of the recipients of the awards, Vice Admiral Jubrin commended the youth forum, observing that the award will would encourage them to do better.
He, however, urged the forum to extend the award category to students and young inventors, saying this would stimulate productivity.
“It will encourage them to engage in what will contribute to the development of Kogi and Nigeria as a country,’’ Jubrin said.
