Kogi Youths Forum has commended Dr Jacob Samuel Ekele for his giant stride in numerous humanitarian gestures to the people of Kogi State and beyond.
The President of the Forum, Hon Attah Emmanuel, gave the commendation while speaking with journalists in Lokoja about the various aspects of humanitarian gesture of Dr Ekele.
Attah said Dr Ekele has touched many lives in diverse ways making him one of the foremost Igala personalities in the present dispensation that has met the needs and yearnings of the people, particularly in the aspect of employment creation, women and youths empowerment.
“Sincerely, Dr Ekele has done a lot in his personal way making him a silent achiever, but we cannot underestimate his numerous contributions to the growth and development of the state. Apart from being an employer of labour, in his own way, he has extended hand of fellowship to the students, elderly, youths, women and the less privileged in the society.
“He has used his father’s hotel in Lokoja to support several occasions particularly wedding ceremony for those who couldn’t meet to pay bills, used the place to accommodate royal fathers who come to Lokoja for meetings and conferences,” he said.
Dr Ekele Jacob Samuel is a respected scholar with PhD in Banking and Finance from Kogi State University Anyigba, Msc Banking and Finance from Bayero University Kano, B.Sc Accounting from Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Bachelor of Business Education from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, a Degree in Business Education (Accounting Major) a Chartered Accountant and a member of many professional bodies.
He is currently the Director Finance and Account, National Examination Council (NECO) Minna, Niger State. A silent achiever that is worthy to be celebrated as a Nigerian, as an illustrious son of Kogi State and as an ambassador of peace.
President of the youth forum urged others in the society to emulate exemplary life of Dr Ekele, emphasising that collective efforts towards poverty reduction would yield positive results in creating a better society.
