As the BEBM Exhibitions prepare to host the 3rd Kogi Built Environment and Building Material Exhibitions between 17th- 20th October, 2017, its advisory Council have received a boost. This is consequent upon the a entry into the Advisory Council by Engr. Abudulmumuni Sadiq, the Kogi State Commissioner for Works, Housing and Urban Development.
In a letter addressed to the Executive Director, BEBM Exhibitions, Engr. Oladipo Makakese Bayode, the Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the team which he described as focused and visionary in rediscovery the built environment industry through its exhibitions capable of contributing to the New Direction focus of Kogi State in the area of Construction materials production and distribution; good professionalism and workmanship and general advocacy for social housing especially in this period of recession.
While commenting on his membership Engr. Sadiq was quoted as saying “there is no better time than now to organize Tradesmen, Professionals, Policy Makers, Researchers and Building Materials Manufacturers to showcase their product and potentials in supporting the government diversification of economy and to promote made in Nigeria products.
He promised to use his membership of the Council to promote the Exhibition.
The Advisory Council includes; Arc. Gabriel Aduku, a planner and former Nigerian minister; Tpl. Yahaya Yusuf, a town planner and former FCT Director of Development Control; Engr. Abdulmumun Sadiq, Kogi State Commissioner of Works, Housing and Urban Development; Hon. (Mrs) Rosemary Osikoya, Commissioner, Kogi State Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources; Arc. Roberts Achanya, Director General, Kogi state Bureau for Public Private Partnership; Professor Patrick Amidu Audu, an environmentalist and Dean, School of Post Graduate Studies, Federal University, Lokoja.
Others are, Arc. Kayode Abayomi Oloninisi, Lecturer at Kogi State University, Anyigba; Builder Aliyu Ova, former Chairman, Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria and Bldr. S. D. Madamori MNIOB
Head, Building Department, Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja.
