The National Vice Chairman of Labour Party in charge of North Central, Comrade Adi Shirsha, has urged workers, farmers and the generality of Kogi people to pitch their tent with his party which he described as the only hope for the people out of the present predicament bedevilling the state.

Comrade Shirsha, who made the call yesterday in Lokoja during the dissolution of the Kogi State executive members of the party, said workers in the state had learnt their lessons in a hard way through backlog of unpaid salaries by the APC-led government. He advised them to desist from giving their mandates to politicians who had nothing to offer.

“Labour Party is currently putting its house in order to take over Lugard House come the 2019 governorship election in Kogi State.

“Our party is a workers and farmers’ party, and it is the only party in the country that can genuinely fight for the rights and welfare of workers. Kogi people have suffered enough and I am advising them not to allow the mistake of 2015 election to repeat itself,” he said.
