Kogi West: We Won’t Rest Until We Reclaim Our Stolen Mandate, Dr. Toyin Akanle Assures Supporters

An aspirant in the recently conducted All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election in Kogi West, Dr. Toyin Akanle has his supporters that he will not relent until the ‘stolen’ senate ticket is reclaimed.
Akanle gave the assurance during a meeting with leaders and coordinators of the Team Akanle in Lokoja on Thursday.
He commended his supporters for their commitment, dogedness and faith in the struggle to reclaim the party mandate.

On behalf of the party, APC, he apologized to his teeming supporters for the way and manner the primary election was handled, assuring them that the struggle is on to correct the aberration.
After the meeting, Akanle and supporters resolved to remain in the party inspite of the frustration and intimidation. They pledged to continue the struggle to reclaim the mandate more so that the National Appeal Committee of the party has already upheld Akanle’s petition.
Briefing newsmen, the Director General of Team Akanle, Prince Dayo Akanmode said the group resolved to embark on building a super structure that will not only make the team relevant in Kogi West but also in the other two senatorial districts for the purpose of enthroning good governance and good representation.
“The issue of alignments with candidates was discussed. The team agreed to further study the present situation before making any commitment or pronouncement,” he said.
He urged members of the team to continue to remain focused and law abiding and await further information.
