The contest for the seat of Kogi West Senatorial District is going to be the most interesting political game in the recent time. The fight is between Senator Daniel Dino Melaye and Senator Smart Adeyemi.
The incumbent, Senator Dino Melaye is contesting under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP while the former senator, Senator Smart Adeyemi is contesting under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Senator Daniel Dino Melaye is the senator representing the good people of Kogi West Senatorial District in the Senate. He’s vibrant, expressive, bold and courageous.
On the other hand, Senator Smart Adeyemi represented Kogi West Senatorial District between the year 2007 and 2015. He is vocal, bold, clear and intelligent.
As at today, Senator Daniel Dino Melaye is believed to be the choice of the masses while Senator Smart Adeyemi is perceived to be the candidate of the power-that-be i.e Kogi State Government.
The game is getting more interesting as the main day is drawing closer. The game is expected to be a fight between the masses and the government of the day.
The outcome of the said election next week will go a long way to tell Nigerians whether the power belong to the people or the power-that-be in the society.
