It is premium time we assemble the true reflection of governance, because if we refused to say here we are, people will never say here you are. We can’t continue to have the rotation of authoritative power without judicial review.
The tutelage of renewing this is because Kogi West has made Yagba Federal Constituency to believe politically that we have no idea of politicking in district and these contemporary issues need to be addressed.
As a citizen, we believe that citizenship must be presented as a consistency, dynamism and inevitable human activity thus changes rapidly and often unpredictably.
The modification of this message is not only concerned to Yagba Federal Constituency as well as the often reform to incorporate the political zoning apt in Kogi West. Not far fetch that Kogi West is a bond of Three (3) constituencies which are Yagba Federal Constituency, Lokoja Koto-Karfe Federal Constituency and Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.
Yagba Federal Constituency has not been given the chance to hold authoritative position for the past 18years that we have been participating in political stewardship. We have been basking in thought to know the reasons behind this action. Is it that Yagba Federal Constituency can’t provide a potential candidacy? Is it that Yagba Federal Constituency has lost the dignity to hold any of this position in Kogi West? Is it that Yagba Federal Constituency has been denied this opportunity? Is that Yagba Federal Constituency has decided to be silent on this?
The political conduct (political zoning) in Kogi West is absolutely ill-satisfactory. Political socialization in Kogi West is not well acquainted with the prerogative of governing.
According to Robert Dahl (1971) “within enormous and often impenetrable thickest of ideas about democracy, it is possible to identify some criteria that a process for governing an association would have to meet in order satisfy the requirement that all members are equally entitled to participate in the association so as to globally provides most credible basis of governmental legitimacy”.
Kogi West has shown the unionism by absence of judicial review, a constituency that has its potential stability and accountability and to help consolidate its public opinions.
As it stands today, there are certain facts to prove our assertion. We want you to believe that we are not trying to destabilize our democracy for any personal interest, neither rebelling nor jettisoning the interest of the electorate but to bring the pink-light of Yagba Federal Constituency that we can do better.

During the time of MKO Abiola, that was the only time Yagba Federal Constituency was privileged to hold this position in person of Chief Awoniyi. He held the Senate position for six (6) months. Sen. Tunde Ogbeha from Lokoja/Koto-Karfi Lokoja was in the Senate for eight (8) years. Sen. Adeyemi Smart from Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu was in the Senate for eight (8) years. From same constituency came Sen. Dino Daniel Melaye who was the Senate for four (4) years. Immediately after, Sen. Adeyemi Smart returned to the Senate for another four (4) years. Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu federal constituency has consecutively run the senatorial power for complete 16years while a constituency, Yagba, was not given a chance to run the mandate for complete year round over decade.
Yagba Federal Constituency, should we continue going this way?
It is earlier we know this and we should make proper inquisitive ideas on where we are getting it wrong!
Should we conclude that we are too silent on this?
In an unjust society, it is held that silence is a crime and it is punishable.
Here comes 2023, we want Kogi West stakeholders to reason along with this subject matter and allow Yagba constituency to claim this mandate.
