The Senatorial ambition of Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi (OBA) received a great boost as the leaders of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the entire 15 wards of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area held a prayer session for his success.
The leaders, who met at the residence of the PDP Leader of the LGA and former Kogi State Commissioner for Finance, Dr Stephen Olorunfemi, commended what they described as the courage and capacity demonstrated by Omoluabi to join the contest.
The leaders took turns to commend, congratulate and encourage the young senate aspirants. Prominent among the speakers were the former member of Kogi state House of Assembly and former Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon James Olumorin; Former Education Secretary of the LGA, Hon Ikuenayo; former Councillor of Otu Ward and member of Kogi State Civil Service Commission, Hon Ben Olorunfemi.
The leaders assured him of their commitment to fairness, justice and strict adherence to party constitution in the process leading to the primary election.
They said the ambition of Omoluabi is in sync with the decision of the leadership of the LGA to take the Senate seat in the 2019 general election.
Hon Olumorin described Omoluabi as a loyal and committed party faithful who has contributed greatly to the various successes of the party in his ward.
Hon Ikuenayo emphasized on the rare courage, clear mission and commitment Omoluabi has put into the ambition.
Hon Ben Olorunfemi described him as a brilliant, focused, resourceful and purposeful young man the LGA is proud of. He commended his singular effort in his ongoing legal battle at the Federal High Court for the restoration of the defunct Kabba/Bunu 1 and 2, Ijumu 1 and 2, Yagba West 1 and 2, Yagba South-East and Koton-Karfi 1 and 2 state assembly seats illegally denied them by INEC.
Dr. Stephen Olorunfemi commended the high level of organization, zeal and strength Omoluabi is going with the ambition.
The prayer session for the success of the ambition was led by a former Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor, Pastor Femi Obalemo.
Earlier in his speech Omoluabi described the leaders as the conscience, soul and pillars of the party, he said the efforts, sacrifices and commitment of the leaders have sustained the party.
He went down memory lane on the untold, obvious and unfortunate political neglect and unfair treatment the LGA has suffered in the last 18 years of sustained democracy in Kogi west despite being the second largest LGA in the senatorial district.
He said his ambition was predicted on restoration of hope, representation of youths in government, sound legislative performance and Federal presence in the entire senatorial district.
He promised that when elected he will bring a newer, better, fairer and results oriented representation to Kogi West.
