Kogi United Techincal Adviser, Abdul Sule Loses Dad

Technical Adviser of Nigeria National League side, Kogi United, Abdul Sule was not a happy man throughout last week Monday as he was struck with the news of his father’s death, Alhaji Sule Alhassan.

Aged 74, Alhaji Sule Alhassan died in the early hours of Monday, 30th of June in his home town at Ankpa, Kogi State after a brief illness.

Late Alhaji Alhassan was one time the Composition Manager at the New Nigeria Newspaper in Kaduna where he retired.

A keen sportsman himself, Alhaji Alhassan was survived by two wives and Eight children among whom is Kogi United Technical Adviser and former Super Eagles defender, Abdul Sule.

Alhaji Alhassan has since been buried in Ankpa according to Islamic injunction.

Describing the father as a sport loving man, Abdul Sule noted that his father’s demise came as a shock and will continue to linger in his memory for the rest of his life.

“I expected to seeing him on that fateful day in Ankpa after I got a message that he took ill.

Speaking about his late father and his contribution to his career, Abdul Sule said his father would take him in his car to the stadium, watch him play football and take him back home.

Meanwhile, the Management of Kogi United FC have commiserated with their Technical Adviser, Abdul Sule over the death of his father, Alhaji Sule Alhassan.

In a statement signed by the club’s Team Manager, Ameh Henry, it sympathized with the family, prayed God to give the father eternal rest and give the family fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
