Kogi United Donates to Orphanage Home

As part of plans to get their upcoming season started on a positive notes, players and officials of Kogi United paid a visit to Margaret Garba Ohiani Orphanage Home, Lokoja with donations of items and cash.

The visitation on Thursday led by the Team Manager of the Confluence state club, Ameh Henry and the club captain, Ismail Mayaki was aimed at providing for the orphans just as to support the private home for the needy.

Henry noted that identifying with place like such was to reflect on how lucky the members were to reach their present position and to surge ahead with a renewed commitment and dedication in the coming season.

Director of the Less Privileged home, Rev. Sunday Olootu who appreciated the entire team for the visit said it was not just to identify with the children at the orphanage but to visit God just as he prayed God to help Kogi United fulfill their targets in the season.

Rev Olootu said “this type of work you do, one person cannot carry it, you need unity, love and one common purpose, this is very important to achieve success, we have to take ourselves as one and know that we need to help one another.

“A building that have a good foundation will definitely stand, and any individual that remember God through this means will surely do well and pray God will lift the players and the entire team to higher places,” he said.

Prayers were offered by both Kogi United official and player as well as the head of the orphanage home.

Food items, toiletries, footballs and cash were donated to the house.

Kogi United will campaign in the Nigeria National League, NNL Season fixed for 24th of February 2017.
