Kogi United Coach, Anini Admits Defeat, Promises To Bounce Back With A Bang

The Head coach of Kogi United, Baba Anini Musa has expressed with great shock and dissatisfaction the team’s poor show at home which saw them suffered a 2:1 loss to visiting Adamawa United of Yola.

Mr Baba Anini admitted that his side who were in full control of the game in the first stanza of the game after scoring in the 44mins through Arinze Oyota then loss control and composure in the second half despite aware playing a more experienced and composed side who recently dropped from the topflight.

“We did well in the first, scoring a great goal but lost the momentum in the second half.

“The players really mishandled the lead to give Adamawa a chance to level up and even scoring late to pick the three points. It’s a disappoint results but it was a great and good officiating,” he admitted.

He however, has promised the team will go back to the drawing board in correcting the mistakes discovered in the encounter, get the players’ focus back on track and then bounce back to winning ways in the next away game.

“We have noted some of our mistakes; we will try to correct them before the next game. I promise the team will get back to winning ways from our next game,” the team media consultant, Samuel Ahmadu quoted Coach Baba Anini Musa saying.

The Kogi State Government sponsored National League side will be guest to Zamfara United on 12 Janury, 2013 in the week-four fixture of the 2012/2013 NNL Season.
