Forum of Coordinators of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) in Kogi State, has passed a vote of confidence on its Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu.

This was part of the fallout of a meeting the body held on Friday night into early morning hours of Saturday at the Exclusive Tavern Hotel in Okene.

The meeting, which was at the behest of the coordinators from all the 21 Local Government Areas of the state, saw the youth council helmsmen expressing grattitude to Comrade Abdullahi for the manner he has piloted the affairs of their forum, and expressed confidence in his leadership.

While also applauding the leadership style of the state chapter of the council, the coordinators appealed for a more robust and inclusive leadership from the state chapter for the progress of the youth body.

The forum further praised the exemplary leadership of the present administration in the state, describing it as the best thing that has happened to the council for a long time.

It specifically congratulated the Local Government Coordinators who have the initiative to ensure there is a ‘Youth House’ in their domains, saying such an edifice would serve as a rallying point for the youths and the NYCN leadership.

The forum also used the occasion to praise the state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for the proactive steps he took at preventing further breakdown of law and order following a recent attack on the Sentaor representing Kogi Central in Okene.

It frowned at such lawlessness and called on the youths of the area and the state at large to eschew any form of violence as it is a danger to peaceful coexistence in the society.
