“All our problems shall pass away.” It is no longer news that few genuine civil servants are paying a prize to see Kogi State truly becoming a better State. The State knows that their sacrifice will and shall never be in vain. The government is not even in the least form comfortable with the state of hardship Kogi genuine civil servants are facing as a result of the “HISTORIC” staff screening and verification exercise.
Some words are better left unsaid for no matter how beautiful and productive an intention is, some people must kick against it, fight against it or maybe try to kill but words of good intention are better of and actions justify most.
Hence, the “HISTORIC” staff screening and verification exercise has unarguably become the social sacrifice for a working and efficient civil service system in Kogi State tomorrow. Be that as it may, the end times are here and kogites shall have every course to appreciate this government soon.
There shall be no further delay in getting across to the few genuine civil servants their ideal entitlements. Our state has been since held down by the evil machinations of a working civil service via the over bloated wage bill that is credited to incidence of ghost workers. Lokoja, the major pathway between Northern and Eastern Nigeria turned one of the dirtiest cities in the country but the facelift has just began.
The target is to get it right and live kogites with the judgement at the expiration of our tenure. As a matter of fact, time no matter how long is short whenever it’s timed and the maximum duration of any executive government in Nigeria is eight years. The new direction team is a make up of gentlemen and women from humble backgrounds and of course this root notes shall not only spur us to protect our various origin but to make good names.
I will like to conclude by urging our foresight beyond the world of today and particularly Kogi State in terms of the age bracket of the “New Direction” team that tend to have become the yardstick of doubt among Kogi teeming population. Both Jesus Christ and Prophet Muhammed(PBUH) moved the world at their youthful age and today, their followership is unprecedented several years after them. Jesus died at barely thirty three years while Prophet Mohammed(PBUH) received the call of prophet at forty.
Finally, it is not to say we know it all for we acknowledge the wisdom of elders and GYB shall make adequate provisions for elders advisory channels through which they shall form an active part of this government. Like his excellency has always reiterated, his mandate is divine and the benefit of it is as often posited by his amiable chief of staff-Hon Edward Onoja, GYB team is here to serve and not to play for our end shall be judged based on our performance and the impacts we shall make. Hence, no matter the groaning; let’s look at the Glory and key into the government to collectively make Kogi State work and truly great among committee of states.
God Bless Kogi State
