Kogi State Medical Students Organise Maiden Health Week in Lokoja

The National Association of Kogi State Medical Students (NAKOMS) cordially invite the general public to Her Maiden Health Week Program/ Magazine Launch which is scheduled to take place from the 16th through 19th of November, 2016 at Lokoja the state capital.

 

The Theme for This Year Annual Health Program Is Tagged: “Hypertension, The Silent Killer” And “Fight Against Dread-Diseases, Major Focus On HIV/AIDS And Cervical Cancer”

 

This was disclosed in an exclusive interview with Association’s National Vice President (NVP), Comrade Onoja Emmanuel in Lokoja yesterday.

 

He said as part of the events lined up, there will be a symposium lecture on the 17th (day2) at the glass house conference hall, Lokoja. The topic of the symposium lecture is “The Eradication, Prevention and Management Of Hypertension” which will be given by the Honourable Commissioner For Health, Dr Saka Haruna Audu.

 

During the course of the symposium, an award of excellence shall be presented to persons that as contributed immensely to the health sector in Kogi state.

 

He said other events lined up for this year’s health week program include NAKOMS Maiden Magazine Launch and Award Ceremony which will take place during the course of the symposium, free medical test in selected areas of Lokoja metropolis, health week and novelty match.

 

He also commended the effort of the Executive Governor Of The State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on his commitment and dedication toward restructuring the health sector through several policies like the HEALTH PLUS.

 

Comrade Onoja said National Association Of Kogi State Medical Students (NAKOMS) is a model dedicated to making Kogi state a healthy state for all.
