Kogi State Is Ready For The CJN Games – Justice Ajanah

The Chief Judge of Kogi, Justice Nasir Ajanah said that the state is fully ready to host the 22nd Edition of the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Games slated to commence on August 30.

Ajanah who disclosed this after inspecting sporting equipment for the state contingent as well as facilities at the 25,000-seat capacity Lokoja Confluence Stadium said the state was ready.

Some of the approved sport equipment and facilities inspected by Ajanah includes: the track suits, jerseys for volleyball and football athletes, table tennis, chess board, scrabble board, badminton rackets stop watches, also the outdoor and indoor games amongst others

The chief judge expressed delight over the level of preparedness, quality and states of the facilities stressing that it was the first time the state would be hosting such a major event.

”I think we are very prepared. The only snag I have seen is that of the swimming pool but then, I have been assured that within the next few days, it will be ready.

He said that the state had always boasted of quality sporting facilities which had been grossly underutilized but added that the state was about to take the bull by the horn.

”The state will not only take its place in the comity of sporting states but the Judiciary is going to contribute its own quota to the development of sports in Nigeria”, he said.
