Election period is Nigeria is always characterised by all sorts of gimmick and other acts that generate funny news.

Few months from now, Governorship Election shall be conducted in Kogi State, and some Politicians who see that the PENDULUM of acceptability is not swinging in their favour are begining to peddle false rumour for their selfish gains.

One of such is; ”Kogi East APC Elders Kick Against Audu’s Leadership;” and I asked: who are these Kogi East APC elders? The answer I got is not only funny but will baffle you. They are James Ocholi, Alex Kadir and Co.

This are the same politicians who are clamouring for the same Governorship seat. You don’t expect anything short of that. Do you? How can a person be a judge in his own case?

In a related development, the same James Ocholi is in another news: ”Buhari’s man ‘James Ocholi’ threatens Audu’s leadership.”

We have not forgotten so soon, the uproar that trails Ocholi, when he decamped from PDP to APC.

This is another false news, because Buhari have his own reputation to protect. The people of Kogi state have the right to choose who they want as a leader and any attempt at imposition under whatever guise is a RED THREAT to the survival of APC in the State.

The support APC enjoys in the state today is anchored on the overwhelming acceptance of PRINCE AUDU in the nook and cranny of the state. Any attempt to play game with him is like is like ”removing the front wheel of a fast moving car.”

The biggest beneficiary shall be the PDP who are very aware that they have lost popularity in the land.

APC should be very aware that in this desperation, some PDP moles are already in APC trying to destabilise the party. The party needs to be ahead of these detractors.

What Kogi state needs now is nothing short of QUALITY LEADERSHIP. We can’t accept anything less.

It is very obvious and mind relieving that; the elders and various Stakeholders in Kogi West and other minority tribes in the state have all endorsed the candidature of Audu, because of his antecedent. This is what is generating these desperate moves.
It is only the EBIRAS that are yet to make their intention public for now.

The reason for these massive endorsement is because PRINCE AUDU have displayed a lot of tactics, consensus building and purposeful collaboration in the running of his last administration.

The emergence of PRINCE AUDU as APC candidate is a big relief to all and sundry, especially the masses who are presently passing through, both political and economic ordeal in the land.

The very few who are against the emergence of his candidacy are:
* The selfish ones who benefit from any odd that befall the state. Your liberation is their loss.
* the people who are not living at home. They stay in places like; Lagos, Abuja, portHarcourt, etc and pretend to know better than these at home, experiencing the heat.
* the non-indigines who have nothing to loss should Kogi keep lossing. They least understood the spate of things in the state but their voice is the loudest.
*Finally are these who don’t have PVC.

The voices are high enough, it is the high time to allow those at home to speak for themselves. (THE TASTE OF THE PUDDIN IS IN THE EATING.)

It is superflous to say that, bad leadership has been a barrier to change in the Kogi state. We need a master strategist and a well focused individual who have the courage needed to stay the course and do the right thing.

Since I know Audu in the political limelight, he is a steadfast man, who is not given to the politics of self-centreness and polical defection. He rather choose to pitch his tent with the masses.

It takes an uncommon courage for a man to breakforth from the norms of political defection and remain true to the core value of building a formidable opportunities and acceptance.

Audu remains the only man who have the strength and conviction to do the right thing when it would have been easier to look the other way.

Space wont allow me to enumerate all the 100s of developmental projects, Audu brought to the state, ranging from: Kogi State University, Kogi State Polytechnic, Construction of 1500 housing units, Lokoja Television Station, Kogi Fm, Kogi Graphic Newspaper, Ultra-Modern Kogi State Govt House, Obajana Cement Factory, 5 Star Confluence Beach Hotel, 250 Units Housing Estate, Sports Complex, 40 Rural Electrification Projects, Special Govt Girls Sec Sch, 300km Township Roads, 350 Borehole Scheme, Specialist Eye Clinic, 120km Road from Benue to Ejule, etc.

No wonder the Nigerian Union of Journalists gave him an award of ”Excellent Leadership Award.” This is among dozens of awards both home and abroad.

This are the reasons he earns the trust and loyalty of all Kogites.
Quality is not a skill but a decision.
Lets all be committed to this problem solving process.

PRINCE AUDU REMAINS THE ANSWER!
