Kogi State Government has facilitated the treatment of two children diagnosed with Lassa fever.
The children, who lost their mother recently, were treated at the Specialist Hospital Lokoja which now has the capacity to handle such cases following government’s intervention to equip facilities capable of treating such victims.
The Medical Director also expressed satisfaction with the successful treatment of the children.
Five Lassa fever cases have been recorded in Kogi State this year.
A doctor treating a toddler suffering from the virus died. The toddler also died.
