Kogi Speaker Pays Condolence Visit to Ohinoyi of Ebira Land

Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Matthew Kolawole has paid a condolence visit to His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Ado Ibrahim, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland  over the untimely and sudden demise of his son, Rahaman Ado Ibrahim after a brief illness.

The Speaker who was at the Ohinoyi’s Palace in Okene on behalf of the entire Sixth Assembly to commiserate with the monarch, the family and Ebiraland over the loss of one of their own whose contributions to the overall development of the land can not be over emphasized.

He said it has become imperative for him to visit the Royal father to console him being a true father for not only Ebiraland but the entire Kogi State and beyond, stressing that it is painful to lose a rare gem like Abdulrahman at a prime age he suddenly departed this world.

Rt Hon Kolawole urged the monarch to take heart and believe in the word of God that says, there is time to be born, time to plant, time to harvest and time to die hence, he should have faith in God that it is his time to return to his creator.

Responding, His Royal Majesty, Ado Ibrahim, commended the Speaker for taking time out his tight schedule to share with them in their moment of sorrow, noting that Abdulrahman was just 48 in age but as a Moslem, he believe Allah has taken him away for a purpose.

He said  this world is transient hence he has absolute belief in God, that posses all the powers to do and undo.

He eulogized the leadership style of the Speaker, urging him not to be carried away by sycophants rather he should consistently be checking his actions to do good for the people always.

He thanked him for the support of the legislature under his watch  in moving the state forward, prayed that God shall continue to give them courage, strength and good health to make laws for the good governance of the state.
