Kogi Road Maintenance Agency Warns Against Dropping Refuse in Drainage

Kogi State Road Maintenance Agency (KOGROMA) executive bill that was assented to Governor Idris Wada on Nov. 2012 to check roads warn the indigenes and residents of the state against dropping refuse in the drainage.

The Managing Director of the Agency Mr Abubarkar Adama said yesterday in Lokoja that the agency has provided construction drainages where ever need be, therefore citizens of kogi are strongly advised to enjoy the opportunity so as to avoid stoppage of water.

Adama said if the water did not flow well it can cause environmental hazards, and he said the roads is the property of all and it should be taking care of by avoiding unnecessary act of blocking the road.

He said according to Governor Idris Wada the agency was established in 2013 to respond to immediate repair of potholes in the State and is expected to Complement the rolr of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA).

“Hence the procurement of road maintenance equipment to facilitate the operations of the Agency to advance the zero tolerance for potholes transformation Agenda,” spear head said.

Director said the agency commenced opperation from the State Capital (Lokoja) while attending to Local government like Dekina, Okene and a host of others so far, they have executed a little bite over (10) rehabilitation projects.
