Kogi Poly: Ohere Lauds Rector for Immortalizing Gov Bello’s Mother

Commissioner for works and housing, Engr Abubakar Ohere has described as “excellent developmental strides”, the projects embarked upon by the Acting Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman since his assumption of office.

Ohere, in a statement he signed and made available to newsmen, noted that “Dr. Usman Ogbo has within a short time turned Kogi polytechnic into a huge construction site, thereby placing the once obscure state on the world map.”

He commended the acting rector for naming of the institution’s health centre after late mother of Governor Yahaya Bello, Hajiya Hauwawu Oziohu Bello. He commended the management of the institution for the honor and recognition.

Ohere described the immortalization of the Governor’s late mother as “a step in the right direction.”

He expressed satisfaction with Dr. Salisu’s policy of prudent allocation of available resources to achieve prioritize and very impactful projects that addresses the needs of students.

The Commissioner stated that the Ministry of Works has been following developments in Kogi State Polytechnic since Dr. Salisu’s appointment, adding that the acting rector has proven that he is an embodiment of knowledge.

He commended the acting rector for the infrastructural face-lift currently taking place in the institution and urged him to sustain the tempo.
