Kogi state; my state our state and the only state we can call our own is in dare need of a leader and not the regular conventional politician and Gen. Patrick stand tall among those seeking to take the mantle of leadership from the current occupant of Lugard House.
Some persons have given up on the state over the maladministration, genocide and hardship orchestrated on our people by the opportunist in Government house. Some persons are patiently waiting to vote out this current occupant with any other choice.
However, in our quest to replace the irresponsible government with a purpose driven and resulted oriented government, we must be careful not to hand over the mantle of leadership to someone we will end up regretting. Hence the need to come together and vote in Gen. Patrick Ademu Akpa from the primary election to the governorship election proper come November 16.
Gen. Patrick presenting himself to lead us from the current sorry state in the history of our state is in line with the fulfillment of the scripture ”For Zion’s (Kogi) sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s (East, West and Central) sake, I will not remain quiet, till her vindication (from bad governance) shines out like dawn, her salvation (emancipation) like a blazing torch” – Isaiah 62:1.
God sent Moses to liberate the Israelite from Egypt. The same God in his faithfulness is sending Gen Patrick to liberate Kogites from bad governance, genocide, tyranny, infrastructural decay, bad news into good governance
Gen. Patrick is a party man and he is the only aspirant among those jostling for the APC ticket that has remain in the party right from its formation to date.
He was the Chairman; Security and Finance in the APC 2015 governorship election in Kogi state that produced Prince Abubakar Audu of blessed memory. He delivered his polling unit, ward, local government to APC and his LGA gave APC the highest votes in that election. APC will do themselves and Kogites a lot of good by voting this man massively in any method of primary they choose to adopt as he is the most widely accepted candidate in all the 3 senatorial districts.
As a military officer, this man broke and set new records as military Secretary and NDA Commandant.
In the word of Orison Swett Marden “There is no investment you can make which will pay you so much well as the efforts to scatter sunshine and good cheer through your establishment.” Gen. Patrick was able to build a nursery, primary, secondary school and a clinic in his local government which he handed over to the missionary for day to day running of the institution. He built the mosque and the church in his community, sponsored religious faithful to the holy land, recruited so many kogites as men and officers in the Nigerian Army, Navy and Airforce. No wonder the former Governor of Kogi State His Excellency Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, when he came to commission the schools and the clinic, said and I quote: “If all the Generals in Kogi state can do one tenth of what General Akpa has done, Kogi state would have witnessed rapid development”
I say to Kogites, Rejoice!!! I am not Joseph of Aramathias who will follow Jesus secretly because of the fear of the Jews. I am not standing on the fence, my support for Gen. Patrick is public.
