Kogi Police Commissioner Partner Journalists for Intelligence Gathering

Police Commissioner, Kogi State Command, CP Miller Dantawaye, has applauded journalists in the state for playing their role well as watchdogs of the society.

He made this known during a working visit to the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) secretariat in Lokoja on Wednesday.

He pledged to work with journalists in the state to ensure seamless dissemination of information and credible intelligence gathering.

CP Dantawaye, who disclosed his sole mission was to serve the people of the state, was born in Ankpa, a community in Kogi state.

“We want Kogi to be a safe place. We need intelligence from all quarters and will appreciate NUJ’s cooperation in this regard,” he said.

NUJ Vice President, Zone D, Comrade Adeiza Momohjimoh, assured the Police Commissioner of robust collaboration.

Comrade Adeiza, who was the immediate past Kogi NUJ Chairman, assured that members of the union in Kogi state are responsible journalists who are well trained in conflict sensitive reporting.

State Chairman of NUJ, Comrade Ademu Seidu commended the Police Chief for reaching out to journalists in the state for partnership.

He assured CP Dantawaye of result-oriented partnership that will assist him in attaining set goals.
