Kogi Pilgrims Arrives Medina, Holds Enlightenment Programme

With the successful completion of immigration clearance at the Jeddah Airport, Kogi state pilgrims for the 2019 Hajj exercise are settling down in Medina.

According to the statement issued by the Kogi State Hajj Commission and made available to our reporter in Lokoja through telephone message, the pilgrims are lodged in Andalus Almasi and Manazi Aswaf hotels respectively.

The statement added that the officials held the first enlightenment programme for the pilgrims on Tuesday, July 16th.

The commission cautioned the pilgrims against falling prey to the antics of evil doers, saying that the pilgrims should listen and follow the guidance and instructions of the commission.

According to the statement, arrangements for ziyara to important sites like Quba, Uhud and other historical places will commence soonest, adding that as soon as arrangements are concluded the date for the movement will be communicated all the pilgrims.

The chairman, Sheikh Luqman Imam admonish the pilgrims to make sure that they pray their 5 daily salaat at the masjeed Nabawi saying that is the most important thing to do in Madina.

He assured the pilgrims that the Governor’s gift of $150 will be given to them soon.

The Amir Hajj, Alhaji Idris Baba Ango, advised the pilgrims to move in group for their safety.
