Idris, who governed the state between 2003 and 2012, however noted that with the efforts of the leaders of the party at the national level, the leadership crisis would soon be resolved with the PDP coming out stronger.

He noted that it was impossible for the court to give the party a chairman, saying the leaders would resolve the crisis and come out with a solution that would enable the PDP return to winning way in 2019.

He however urged the members of the party in the state to be more united and forget the wrangling that led to the defeat at the 2015 governorship election.

Also speaking, the immediate past governor of the state, Capt Idris Wada, expressed confidence that the party would win any election organise in the state.

He however said there was the need for the members to be more united and also mobilise for more members at the grassroots level in the face of the hardship being faced by the people of the state.

Wada noted that the party had come to stay in the country, adding that any attempt to muzzle out opposition in the political landscape of the country would not last.
