The immediate past Liaison Officer 1 of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Funsho Olorunfemi has won the Kabba/Bunu Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) sole ticket to contest in the forthcoming Local Government Elections in Kogi State.
Hon. Funsho is well accepted by PDP leaders in Kabba/Bunu LGA. The leaders have organised a ‘Shadow Primary’ between Funsho and his co-contenders, Hon. Olamife and Hon. Fred Aiyenale in a move to present Funsho as the consensus candidate. The move generated a lot of controversies as opponents alleged that he bribed the PDP leaders with N30million.
In his reaction after victory, Hon. Funsho said ‘power belong to God’. He went spiritual, quoting from the Bible, ‘Therefore, God’s choice does not depend on a person’s will or effort, but on God himself, who shows mercy. …..Romans 9:16’
“The delegates have spoken, the will of God has been done and I am totally humbled by the outcome. It will only ginger me to be more dedicated and focus until the final victory is achieved”, he said.
“To my brother Ade Olamife, I extend my hand of fellowship, and ask for your cooperation as we prepare for the final battle. It is not about us but all about the good of Oweland and Bunu people”
