Kogi State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused Gov. Yahaya Bello of funding the activities of All Progressives Congress (APC) with state resources.
In a statement issued and signed by Achadu Dickson, Director of Research and Documentation, the party described as laughable the pretense by the President Mohammadu Buhari-led administration in fighting corruption when money of the state is allegedly been used to fund APC activities at the detriment of people of Kogi State who are been owed for upward of twenty seven months salaries, pensions and gratuities.
The Kogi State PDP alleged that it has it on good authority that while Kogi State workers are daily dying of hunger and poverty induced sicknesses, Gov. Bello contributed one billion naira to fund the last APC convention held in Abuja.

The PDP also lamented how Gov. Yahaya Bello contributed nine hundred million naira to the common purse that was used to fund Ekiti Governorship election, when other APC governors contributed three hundred million naira each.
The Kogi PDP said in spite the money the governor allegedly contributed to funding the Ekiti State election, described as disheartening another seven hundred and fifty million naira the governor withdrew forty eight hours to the Ekiti state election.
The PDP said it has become necessary to make this information public most especially that Kogi state is bleeding in debt owed commercial banks, after several interventions to bail the state from debt owed workers.
The PDP described the reckless financial action of the governor to fund APC activities at the expense of the welfare of the people of the state as an issue in public domain, yet the presidency has chosen to keep mute and look the other way.
Kogi State PDP says while it has choosing to draw the attention of the world to how the state is been run aground financially, the Kogi people have by the hunger inflicted on them by the Gov. Bello’s administration know who their enemies are, would no doubt reject the APC and Gov. Bello in 2019.
