The Centre for Human Rights and Conflict Resolution (CHRCR) has thrown its weight behind the decision of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, to probe past administrations in the state.
CHRCR made this know in a press release signed by its Executive Director, Comrade Idris Miliki Abdul, and made available to Kogireports.
According to him, “the panel of inquiry set up by kogi state government to look into the activities of past administrations in the state is in right direction considering the magnitude of abandoned projects that litter the 21 local governments in the state ranging from roads and other infrastructure”.
He called on the panel to do a good job.
“They should look into the process of contracts award, beneficiaries, amounts paid and quality of job done.
“We also call on the panel to publish their terms of reference, conduct public hearing and received memorandum from the public.
