Kogi Organizes Screening for Youth Boxers in Lokoja

The Kogi State chapter of the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria, YSFON, have announced screening to budding talented boxers resident in the state for Saturday, May 9.
Chairman of the state chapter of YSFON, Alhaji Nnda Umar Collins said the screening activities were part of plans arranged to recruit young boxers into the state boxing team.
Alhaji Umar said the exercise scheduled to take place at the Kogi Confluence Stadium opened to boxers within the age of 13-23.
According to him, Kogi will alongside at least 12 states participate in the proposed Nigeria Grassroot Boxing League which will be sponsored by the manufacturers of energy drink – Bullet.
Successfully screened boxers from the exercise will represent the state in the yet-to-be-scheduled league with sponsors, Bullet to bore the wages of coaches and boxers in the course of the competition.
