Re: #OmalaKillings: “The Military must leave our land, Onu I’ve (Ojogba) warns.
The attention of HRH, Chief Boniface U. Musa, the Onu-Ife and Chairman, Omala Traditional Council, has been drawn to a false and misleading trending story by one Yunusa Mohammed Lawal, reporting that the Onu-Ife asked the military troops deployed to Omala local government to leave.
2. I wish to state emphatically that there was never a time I ordered for the removal of military personnel deployed to Omala, in the wake of the current security crisis that has led to the killings of our people and destruction of properties.
3. As custodians of the land, in times like this our efforts are needed to complement that of the security agencies to achieve desirable results that would bring lasting peace back to the land.
4. The said publication circulating the online space is a total falsehood with a misleading intent and as such, should be disregarded in its entirety.
5. The Omala Traditional Council remains resolute in its readiness to work with security agencies deployed to Omala local government, to see that peace is being restored.
6. Omala Traditional Council commiserates with the families o the victims of this gruesome act and pray the Almighty to avert any future occurrence of this ugly scenarios.
7. The safety of lives and properties remain paramount to us as royal fathers and would not jeopardize government’s efforts in any form, in the bid to restore lasting peace back to our land.
8. Omala is known for peace. The gods of our land will make sure the perpetrators of this act must be apprehended and justice equally served.
