Kogi Jail Break: Police Declares Melaye, Audu, Six Others Wanted

The Nigeria Police Force, Kogi State Police Command has declared Senator Dino Melaye, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Audu wanted over a massive jail break in Lokoja.
Addressing newsmen in Lokoja in Lokoja, Kogi State Police Commissioner, Ali Janga, said Melaye, Audu and six criminal escapees has been sent for watch listing by the InterPol for immediate arrest.
In a massive jailbreak, Janga confirmed that six suspected criminal elements; Kabiru Seidu a.k.a Osama, Nuhu Salisu a.k.a Small, Aliyu lsa, Adams Suleiman, Emmanuel Audu and Musa Mohammed who were under detention at the ‘A’ Division Lokoja escaped from lawful custody.
Four of the suspects were on court remand including two that indicted Senator Dino Melaye.
The Police chief said the command has began investigation into the jailbreak incidence and thirteen police officers who were on duty when the incident occurred has been detained for interrogation.
He appealed to the members of the public to assist the Police with useful information on the whereabouts of the suspects by reporting to the nearest Police Station.
