A frontline governorship aspirant, Alhaji Jibrin Momoh, has called on his supporters to vote massively for the victory of all the candidates running on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Addressing a cross section of his supporters in Lokoja on Monday, Jibrin Momoh, an award winning accountant, urged Kogi APC to work hard to maintain its record of delivering 100% for all the party’s candidates as it happened in 2019.
Jibrin Momoh, who appreciated the efforts and leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello for working tirelessly for the party’s victory despite the fact that he was not on the ballot, said Governor Bello was only being patriotic and filled with an unquantifiable love for the party for him to have gone that length.
“Kogi State is an APC state. And we have seen how His Excellency has been going up and down campaigning for all the candidates flying the party’s ticket even though he is not contesting. We have to reciprocate his effort by voting massively for all our candidates. Let us return back to our wards and polling units and encourage our members to vote for APC candidates. We did it almost a fortnight ago and we can do it again.
“We need to have a friendly legislative arm that will harmoniously work with the executive for the betterment of our land. This is not to say that they should abdicate their check and balance responsibilities but for effective delivery of democratic dividends, there must be a rancor free relationship between the executive and the legislature as well as the judiciary,” he said.
Jibrin Momoh, whose Governorship Movement is codenamed as #JBest, said the March 11 election should be taken seriously the same way the party recorded an enormous victory in the February 25 elections which saw the emergence of the President elect, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu and many national legislators who flew the party’s tickets.
