Senator Abubakar Ohere has expressed profound sadness over the death of former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, describing his passage as a deeply painful moment for the people of Kogi State.
Ohere, in a heartfelt condolence message, mourned the former governor as a father, elder statesman and distinguished public servant whose footprints remain etched in the history of Kogi State.
He said the news of Idris’ death came with a heavy heart, noting that the state had lost not only a former governor but an elder whose experience, wisdom and years of service touched many lives.

“Today, Kogi mourns. We have lost a father, an elder and a statesman. Alhaji Ibrahim Idris served his people with dedication, and his contributions to the development of our dear state will not be forgotten,” Ohere said.
The Senator commiserated with the Idris family, friends, associates and the entire people of Kogi State, praying that Almighty Allah grant the deceased eternal rest and give his family the strength to bear the painful loss.
“May Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus. His voice may be silent today, but his memories and legacy will continue to live in the hearts of those he served.”
