The joint ticket of Governor Yahaya Bello and Chief Edward David Onoja of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been described as unmatchable and productive owing to feasible programmes, policies, personalities and humane political approach adopted by the party.

Senator Yakubu Oseni made this known recently while having crucial stakeholders meeting with some grassroots political mobilisers from Kogi Central, across the five Local Government Area in preparation for the October 16th gubernatorial poll in the state.

The lawmaker who specially commended Governor Yahaya Bello and his running mate, Chief Edward David Onoja for what he called ‘rare political sagacity’ displayed by the two leaders in fostering cohesion among members of the party after primary election, said Kogi APC is more focused and united to coast home victory next month.

“As detribalized leaders, the Governor, his running mate and state APC Chairman,  Hon. Abdullahi Bello united with sincerity of purpose were able to solidify our party by bringing erstwhile aggrieved members together. I congratulate the people of Kogi state and APC for the imminent seamless victory as we go to the poll with one voice” he said.

Senator Oseni charged the stakeholders to continue to shun divisive or inciting comments during and after the election, which he said could lead to breach of public peace, adding that “Governor Yahaya Bello is a man of peace and that his administration has invested heavily to ensure peace and security of the state, this should not be toyed with.”

Various speakers at the meeting assured the lawmaker of their unreserved support to the victory of the APC, just as they declared that Kogi State since creation, has never been lucky to have a focused, detribalized and sincere leader like Governor Yahaya Bello.

“Our agenda is the Kogi Agenda being promoted by Governor Yahaya Bello and his running mate, Chief Edward David Onoja. We will work to actualise it to put a permanent stop to some ethnic or family agenda being propagated by uninformed members of some political parties. It is time to liberate Kogi State from the stronghold of a family,” they vowed.
