The Ebira Youth Vanguard of Nigeria has called on the governorship candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Barr. Natasha Akpoti to sacrifice her current political ambition for the progress, unity and peace of the land.
The appeal was made in a statement signed by the group’s president, Bldr. Sadiq Haroon Dio, after the quarterly executive meeting in Abuja.
Haroon noted that the female aspirant have every right to contest the November 16 governorship election in Kogi state, he, however, called on her to consider the overall interest of Anebira.
He called on Natasha to step down her grievances and follow the footsteps of prominent ebira political actors like Alhaji Abdulrahaman Khalifa Okene, Alh Haddy Ametuo, Adai Tom Ohikere and many more who have sacrificed their ambitions and grievances for the interest of Ebiraland.
According to him, Ebira land cannot afford a repeat of the 2007- 2011 era of power tussle that claimed many lives and properties in the land.
