A group known as the Kogi Restoration Group has endorsed former governor Prince Abubakar Audu to fly the All Progressive Congress (APC) flag in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

The group urged members of the APC in the state to put aside their differences and present Audu, who it described as the most competent among the party’s heavyweights that can wrest power from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

Chairman of the group, Mr. Segun Abereoran, advised key stakeholders in the party to bless the candidature of former Governor Audu so as to allow him finish the good work he started when he held sway as governor from 1999 to 2003.

He said since Audu left in 2003, no leader has been able to match his profile in terms of   development, warning that the state cannot afford to continue to elect leaders that lack the capacity to provide the much needed dividends of democracy.

He lamented the inability of successive administrations in the state to preserve the legacies left behind by Audu not to talk of building on them.

The chairman said leaders in the state were in unison on the need to put forward a strong leader who will defeat the incumbent governor and reposition the state.

“Major stakeholders within the APC believe that only a government led by Abubakar can bring about the kind of transformation that the people of Kogi State earnestly desire,” Abereoran said.

🙂 Both parties are adviced to take the interest of the students in particular and kogi state in general to conservation. Also, for not shifting ground by both parties is not too good. We need to send both parties back to the classrooms for reorientation and retraining on crises resolution thereby common ethical resolution can be applied.
However, we are pleading to the lecturers to please see reasons with govt since they hav been pd 4 mths.we all knows the present economy. Also, govt is also advised to refund back deductions made to the lecturers to ameliorate their sufferings. Govt shd kno dat salaries owed to staff is compulsory for paymt, no negotiations about it.
