In search of an honest man to give Kogi state her statehood rights, A. A. Rauf should be the man of our choice.
The essence of leadership is to serve people with humbleness and give them their rights. Very unfortunate that Kogi State is yet to witness such a man of this golden virtue.
What Kogi State is recording right from her creation is arrogant leaders, oppressors and self-serving souls. They are unmindful to the people they are suppose to serve, turn their faces from them out of vanity, self aggrandizing and luxurious lifestyle.

Nothing is more inviting of divine retribution, greater in evil consequences than shedding of innocent blood without justification, but very unfortunate that shedding blood from one place to another is the news we hear on daily bases.
They love nothing apart from self admiration, exaggerated praises. They failed to understand that the best way through which people can have a good impression of their leaders is that they should extend good behaviour towards them and serve them with humility.
They forget that any favour from Allah, the almighty to His servant is temporal and also a test.
They hardly fulfill their promises, forgetting when they are condemning their predecessors for not fulfilling their promises. They forget that people are watching them as they also used to watch those before them.
Any one who allow a snake to bite him twice in a hole is not a wise man. No wise man will call someone who cheated him yesterday to come back and cheat him.
What have these people done that impact people’s lives? What have they done that one can see and touch? They are not innovative. They recorded nothing but suffering and intimation.
Do not delay when it is time, Ebira youths in particular and Kogi youths in general are the only ones that can rescue kogi state.
Go for someone that will have mercy upon those under him and take them as his partner. Do not go for people who will continue to handle Kogites as their slaves taking her treasure as their own property.
In prophetic tradition, it is said that a leader of people should be their servant, it is time for Kogi youths to support a man that will be their servant not a man that will continue to enslave them.
We have found this golden virtues of a good leader in A A Rauf, an Ebiraman who hails from Okene LGA, vying under the platform of the Umbrella, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Governor at the November gubernatorial poll.
He will do better if given the opportunity and mandate to have the No1 political seat in Kogi State.
He is a simple man, honest. And most important of all, he knows what is humanity.
A. A. Rauf should be the man of your choice.
