INEC when will Kogi people have their election?
Kogi state people have come out on the 16th of November to a show of executive and Administrative rascality. The people looked for help in the face of terror, they physically and emotional harassed, beat and heat them with bullets and words.
They begged us and later made us to beg, cry and sober.
They gave us ballots and later snatched them.
They brought guns promising to protect us and later unleashed the bullets on us.
They wrote and announced the result as they like and came back to burn and kill voters and supporters of opposition.
INEC, when is our election, is it when we have buried the dead and mourned? Is it when court decide? Or, is it when God intervene on our behalf?
INEC, you gave us a result sheet and announced another; why didn’t you save your energy and announce the result from Abuja? INEC, why did you waste your time and ours when you have been paid?
INEC, why didn’t you stylishly issue a brief statement like “this election will be as fair as 2003 and 2007”? This would have been a huge hint.
INEC why did you not tell us that Prof Mahmood Yakubu will perform credibly like Prof. Maurice Iwu? We would have coded the information and stay away. If all these hints were given, maybe the nine person who died and others who are injured would have been here.
INEC when is our election? Kogi people wants to vote and elect their leader. Will you come back again? Will you come alone or you will still come with helicopter, the one that hover all over us as if it was world war III; teargassing us to protect us, pointing guns loaded with bullets on us so that we will not fear.
Will you still come with fake police that overpowered 35,000 police men? Will you still bring 2015 ballot papers and keep 2019’s in Lugard village? Hmmmm; INEC, will you allow your thirty staff to be kidnapped only to be release when the job is done?
INEC, please can you promise us that the spirit of Prof Jega will follow you?
But have you asked the imposter to retrieve the guns? The millions they shared to you and them will finish very soon, I learned some have invaded car mart to buy Corolla, they say is rugged, some say its Honda because is soft. But when the money is gone, how would they maintain it? What if they decide to use the guns to ensure their class is maintained? Inec have you probably left in in danger?
Mr INEC, hope is what we have lost not elections, the war you waged on us is terrible.
We are still hopeless and defenceless, anytime you are ready to come back again, restore our hope and inspire our confidence before coming. Come like an umpire not a political party.
