Kogi Guber: Okene Administrator Meet Market Women, Donate Security Van for Local Policing

Ahead of the November Governorship election, the Administrator of Okene Local Government, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad has continued to tighten all ends for a successful and peaceful governorship election in his domain.

The Council Chairman made good his promise to strengthen the capacity of the security agencies by donating a vehicle to the State Vigilante Services for effective policing in Okene and its environs.

At a brief ceremony held at the Council Secretariat, the newly created Special Team of the State Vigilante Services received a hilux van from the ever security conscious Administrator of Okene Local government. This is to enable the Special Team patron the locality, gather intelligence, and in conjunction with police and other security operatives ensure crime are prevented and the council remain peaceful before, during and after the Governorship election.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Okene Command, Mr. S. Bako who officially received the security vehicle on behalf of the state vigilante services assured the Council Administrator that the command will continue to strengthen the harmonious relationship between the police and the vigilante service.

The Commander of the service in Okene Local Government, DSV Habib Tijani Otaru thanked the Council Chairman for the motivation and maintained that, the Special Team of the vigilante services will operate 24hours and the services is available to all citizens of Kogi Central.

Again, the Council Administrator also received at the Council Secretariat market women under the umbrella of Kogi Central Yam Sellers Association. They came to pledged their total support to the reelection of Gov. Yahaya Bello.

They promised to mobilised women of the association to vote massively for Gov. Yahaya Bello come November 16, 2019.
