Kogi Guber: Lokoja Local Government APC Inaugurates Campaign Council

The Lokoja Local Government APC has today inaugurated its campaign council in Lokoja the Kogi State capital.

A press statement signed by the Local Government’s Chairman of Media and Publicity Committee for the campaign council, Mohammed Yabagi and made available to newsmen in Lokoja said the deputy governorship candidate of the party, Hon Edward Onoja attended the inauguration which was done by the DG Kogi West, Hon Haruna Isah.

Hon Onoja the statement said, urged the council members to work hard in order to justify their selection into the campaign team.

He noted that Lokoja which has the fourth highest number of registered voters in the state after Dekina, Ankpa and Okene LGAs respectively, must ensure it delivered for Governor Bello to give it leverage to make good bargain for its people in the next government in Kogi State.

The DG of the Local Government Campaign team, Hon Fancy-jimoh Tiamiyu pledged his preparedness to ensure landslide victory for the party.

He described the make-up of the team as experienced individuals committed to the course of the party, adding that victory was not negotiable in the area.

Other leaders of the party in the LGA including members representing Lokoja I & II at the Kogi House of Assembly, Hon Isah Umar and Idris Ndako; former Assembly member, Hon Suleiman Babadoko, the women leader, Hon Fatima Fatima Nda Jiya and others all restated their determination to working for the victory of the party.

In his remarks, the administrator of the Local Government, Hon Muhammed Dan’Asabe Muhammed, urged the campaign team members to close ranks with people irrespective of their socioeconomic and political affiliation in order to woo them to the APC fold.

He said the APC has a lot of projects to market its candidate with, adding that the party’s intention for victory in November was not negotiable.
