Dear Kogi Youths,

Attention: Be your brothers saviour!

Do not hate, blackmail, malign, gang up, plot, go diabolic and at worst – kill yourselves because of politics. Most often, those who labour do not benefit as politics, especially in Kogi State reward only those who sees as the office holders sees.

The worst any young man can do to himself is capitalising on politics. Why not develop your potentials? The world will honour you.

It is not arguable to say politics is the fastest route to quick wealth but, while there are more to life out there, if you commit all you can become to only politics; your probability of breaking through life becomes once in every four years except you decide to continually been AGIP – i.e, supporting “Any Government In Power” without recourse to performance or the government’s approval rating.

Many people succeeds outside politics!

Not only that ideas rule the world, most of the successful politicians we have today were persuaded into politics by people who live on politics.

Eventually, the persuaded still rule over them because they have a successful career and you too can rule over others tomorrow if you choose a path rather than thinking all you can ever become is at the corridors of political power. Don’t forget, your life is a replica of how you see and think about yourself.

“If you run from politics, you will end up been governed by your inferiors” ~ Plato Quotes.

Many people participate in politics the comfort of other endeavours. I for one, I am not a career politician. Before getting amazed, irrespective of how you see me; my innate desire is Public Opinion Moulding, Public Relations and Organisation Image Management. Of course, that is what endeared my service for Hon Alfa Momoh Rabiu of Ankpa II State constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly and it is not enough to make me a politician.

A couple of young men add voices to politics away from other life endeavours or career engagement. Some do under the auspices of social critic while others do under the auspice of youth pressure groups. We can all fit to any if we have a fall back base. Else, this article becomes entirely yours.

It is not in my imagination to ridicule anyone but it is my desire to give a stern message. And, that message is what you already know – nobody’s ambition is worth the blood of any Kogite.

As we count days into the November 16th governorship election, let love lead. Politics come and go in four years but kinship lives even after post generations. A word is enough for the wise.

I remain yours in humanity;

– Comrade A. M. Nasiru
