The Chairperson of Elite Movement for GYB/CEDO, Arc. Safiya A Umar (mnia) has congratulated Governor Yahaya Bello and his deputy, Edward Onoja on their victory at the Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja against the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Engr. Musa Wada.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the publicity secretary, Ohi Lamisi, Arc Safiya described the judgment as victory for all Kogites.
“The future of the people of Kogi state is bright under the leadership of His Excellency Gov. Yahaya Bello. His tremendous performance in office in his first term earned him the peoples’ votes to continue his good work – to take Kogi state to the promise land and make Kogi the best State in Nigeria,” she said.
Arc Safiya called on all the aggrieved parties to halt their grievances and support the Bello led administration.
Also, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Kogi State on Women and Children Development, Princess. Omotayo Ishaya described the tribunal judgement as an affirmation of the wishes and will of the people of the state.
“Kogi electorate came out en masse to vote for the victory of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the November 16, 2019 governorship election. The victory is as a result of the acceptability of the new direction government of Gov. Bello which envelopes giant development stride across the state, and the people’s belief in the current ‘Let’s Do More’ policies, projects and programmes which is evident,” Ishaya said.
