Kogi Govt to Establish Oil Producing Area Development Commission

Kogi State Executive Council has approved a Bill for a law to establish the Kogi State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (KOSOPADEC).

This is was part of the resolutions reached at State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Yahaya Bello in Lokoja on Tuesday.

The council also approved the grading and upgrading of over 300 traditional stools in the state.

This was made known in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Onogwu Muhammed.

“Council approved the grading of Akinrin of Ekinrin from none-class to 1st class, Ohireba of Ebiraland from none-class to 1st class, Obaje Otalu-Atabaka from 2nd class to first, grading and upgrading of over 300 traditional stools in Kogi State,” the statement read.

Similarly, Council approved a Bill for a law to establish the Kogi State Meat Hygiene and Inspection.
