Kogi Govt Assures of Its Commitment to the Welfare of Women and Youths

The re-election of Capt Idris Wada would help secure the future of youths and women of Kogi State.
Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi, stated this at the inauguration of Wada/Awoniyi campaign donated by a seven man committee in Banda, Kungbani community of Lokoja LGA.

 

Awoniyi described the last three and half year of the Capt Wada administration as one that placed emphasis on the welfare of youths and women, said another term in office would help consolidate on youths and women empowerment.

 

Represented by Abu Micheal, Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, said the state should vote to move the state forward, described Capt Wada as the credible alternative that would move the state to its desired destination.

 

Awoniyi promised that the issue of connecting the area to electricity would top his administration’s priority if re-elected, assured the area of more gains of democracy in the years ahead.

 

While noting that the present administration has invested massively in Lokoja LGA in the area of infrastructure, Awoniyi assured the people of more gains of democracy if re-elected to office.

 

Earlier in a welcome remarks, Hon Sam Abenemi, State Deputy Chairman of the PDP, said the people of Banda have resolved to deliver for the PDP in the forth coming governorship election, said government is promising to meet the demands of the area as it concern electricity , youth and women empowerment, urged them to sustain their support to ensure an overwhelming victory for the party in the November poll.

 

 

Also speaking in his welcome remarks, Adamu Suleiman Ometa, spokesman of the seven man committee, said the office is their own contribution towards the party’s victory in the governorship election, assured of the Banda community’s total support to the re-election bid of the governor.
