Kogi governorship hopeful, Hon. Yakubu Murtala Ajaka, has affirmed his commitment to upholding the mandate of the people of the state.

Reacting to rumours making rounds that his name was being used to endorse the gubernatorial candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ajaka dismissed the claims as an attempt to sell an “unsellable sham.”

In his statement on Monday, Ajaka emphasized his dedication to transparent, fair, and truthful democratic processes, stating that anyone who seeks to undermine these values does not deserve the acceptance of the common good.

He went on to assert that he would not associate with individuals or groups who engage in illegality and treachery.

Ajaka’s statement came amid controversy surrounding the APC primaries in Kogi state, with some parties contesting the legitimacy of the results.

Ajaka, who has been vocal about his support for the people of Kogi State, has remained a prominent figure in the state’s political landscape, advocating for greater accountability and democratic processes.

He made it clear that he will not be swayed by political maneuvering or pressure, but will remain steadfast in his pursuit of a fair and just democratic process.
