The Forum of GYB Political Appointees in Ofu local government area has pledged their total support for the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 2023 Kogi governorship election, Alhaji Usman Ododo and his running mate, Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo.
The Forum made this known during a courtesy visit in the APC Deputy Governorship candidate, Comrade Joel Oyibo in Lokoja on Tuesday.
Led by the chairman, Hon. Salifu Isah Idachaba, the Forum thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for giving Oful LGA the unique opportunity to produce a Deputy Governor in the state.
Idachaba, who serves as Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in the state, said the gesture must be reciprocated and victory would be ascertained.
Hon. Gabriel Arome Adoji, a two time commissioner and a current member of the Kogi State House of Assembly Commission, revealed that the overhyped ethnic agenda can only be found in the social media but doesn’t have the capacity for domestication, adding that the trusted GYB political appointees would canvas the needed votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to emerge as the winner come November 2023.
Joel Salifu Oyibo told the Forum he is a product of destiny and his nomination to run for the second-highest political office in the state is an act of divine favour.
He thanked Governor Bello for considering him for the highly exalted seat of the Deputy Governor of the State.
The resolution of the meeting which bothered on the agreement of the team to work for the victory of APC in the forthcoming governorship election in the state also highlighted the need to commence grassroots mobilization for the actualization of party’s victory.
