By Yusuf Abubakar.
A leading Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant, Alhaji Abubakar Idris has challenged Kogi state Governor Yahaya Bello to produce the PDP chairman abducted some days ago.
Abubakar stated that the Governor will be held responsible for security lapses in the state.
The governorship aspirant made this known while reacting to the abduction of PDP chairman, Okene chapter, Musa Adelabu on Monday.
Noting that the abducted party chief is from Okene, Governor Bello’s home town, Abubakar said the state government had devised another means to instill fears into the opposition members towards November governorship election in the state.
Abubakar insisted that no amount of intimidation will deter PDP members from working for the victory of the party in November.
According to him, the people of the state have outgrown all vices perpetrated in the last elections and are more determined, now than ever tp do away with the current aberration in the state.
He expressed reservations over the mere lip service been deployed by the present administration in terms of security.
Abubakar Ibrahim noted that going by the present developments, it is possible that strong governorship contenders in the November election may not be insulated from kidnapper’s den before the poll.
He tasked the security agencies to distance themselves from the current development in the state or be treated as an accomplice to the people’s ordeal in Kogi.
