The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commenced the screening of its governorship aspirants ahead of the November 16 election in Kogi State.
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC has fixed August 29, as date for its governorship primary in Kogi State.
The screening exercise taking place at the party’s secretariat in Lokoja, is headed by Senator Hope Uzodinma with six other members sent from the national secretariat of the party.
The screening which commenced yesterday had no less than 10 aspirants, including Governor Yahaya Bello who is seeking a second term.
Other aspirants that presented themselves before members of the committee included Admiral Usman Jubril (rtd.), Prof. Seidu Ogah, veteran journalist Yakubu Mohammed, Mona Audu, Princess Hadiza Ibrahim, Bashir Gegu, Sani Lulu and Tunde Irukera.
