Ajaokuta Council Boss, Hon. Aliyu Ogido Haruna, has congratulated Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on his resounding victory at the Kogi State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
The tribunal upheld Governor Ododo’s election on Monday, dismissing the petitions filed by his closest rival, Ajaka Muritala of the Social Democratic Party
Speaking through his media office following the judgment, the Ajaokuta Chairman expressed confidence in the credibility of the nation’s judiciary.
He noted that the decision in favor of the All Progressives Congress and Governor Ododo rejuvenates the people’s faith in the judiciary as the last hope of the common man in defending their rights and interests.
Describing the victory as unprecedented, the Chairman expressed satisfaction that this tribunal outcome would enable Governor Ododo to continue his quality leadership and ongoing developmental initiatives in Kogi State since his assumption of office on January 27, 2024.
On behalf of the people of Ajaokuta Local Government, the Ajaokuta Chairman extended his felicitations and expressed hope that this victory would bring more development to Ajaokuta LG and the entire Kogi State.
