Kogi Gov’ship: AA Coordinators Collapses Party Structure for Leke Abejide in Okehi

Coordinators of Action Alliance (AA) in Okehi local government area has collapsed their party’s structures for the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the November governorship election in Kogi state.

Leader of the AA Coordinators, Hamza Yahaya, made their decision known when ADC governorship campaign train berthed in Obangede, the headquarters of Okehi LGA, on Tuesday.

Speaking at the event, Yahaya said the ADC candidate’s unprecedented achievement in his Federal Constituency, turned their minds to support him in order for him to deliver Kogi state.

They praised the ADC candidate for coming out with his ‘Rescue Mission’, adding that “we have all agreed that he deserves our votes.”

Reacting, the State Chairman of ADC, John Adaji said he was extremely happy that the AA coordinators came to pitch tent with the winning party.

“Today, I am happy that the structures of AA have been collapsed into ADC. This shows that people aren’t just talking about moving from poverty to prosperity but, against all odds, they are taking the right actions that will eventually translate to victory for our party,” Adaji said.

Director General of ADC Governorhip Campaign, Hon. Suberu Adagu who spoke to the people in Ebira language, admonished them to look beyond ethnic line and vote for a candidate that is capable of effecting positive change in the state.

He explained that various campaign strategies will be put in place as measures to ensure effective mobilisation for the party’s candidate, adding that a door-to-door campaign will commence from the respective wards in all the local government areas of the state in no distance time

He said that they are preaching to electorate to gear up their minds for Abejide as the right and reliable person that will not betray the party and the people if voted into power.

“He has proven that in all his service years as a member, House of Representatives and committee chairman on custom and excise as a loyal and honest servant,” he said.

He further assured the party members and admirers that “we shall not abandon our campaign promises even as we engage all stakeholders on the way forward to ensure the progress of the state.”

Adagu submitted that the ADC governorship candidate has good attributes, among other humane dispositions, which make him an attractive choice to the good people of Kogi Central and across the 21 local government areas of the state.

He assured that with Abejide as the state governor, Kogi will be creating a new history and record in politics and governance.

The notable party stalwarts present include, Hon. Shola Ojo, ADC campaign council chairman; Hon. Idris Anako, Kogi Central DG campaign; John Adaji, ADC state party chairman, Hon. Abdulazeez Anuhi, Hon. Shola Adebola Ghadafi and among others.
