The lamentations of the people of Kogi State in the last three and half years is being heard and attended to by God.

Aso rock is hearing so clearly the wailing and  cries of the people at the confluence of the rivers Niger and Benue, very audibly ! Whether the great rock choose to ignore such pitiable cries or pretend to threat is as inconsequential is a different matter.

The National Headquarters of the ruling party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) cannot in every sense of sincerity feign ignorance or lack of adequate knowledge of the thunderous wailing lamentations of pains, agony and dearths coming daily from Kogi state. Whether or not party will prefer the report of the Governor to that of the entire citizen who are the brunt bearer is beyond our conjecture.

But then, heavens whom Kogi state people takes solace in so heavily will appropriately attend to their cries is again offering Kogi a golden opportunity to deliver and redeem themselves.

If and only if the people themselves are truly tired of their situations, pause their lamentations, and instead engage themselves in fervent prayers to God and collectively resolve to doing the right things in the coming November 2019 election will determine to a great extend whether or not  God will grant them Victory and succor.

The story of a young man facing an uncertain  life ahead of him is apt to tell here:

A fortune teller studied the palm of the young man and said to him, “You will be poor and very unhappy until you are about thirty seven years old”
The young man responded “Well, after that, what will happen ? Will I be rich and be happy thereafter” ?

“No” the fortune teller told him. “You will still be poor but you will be used to it after that”

Fortune telling in most cases is satanic. But the lesson is, people can get used to a miserable situation when they inadvertently allow such situation persists for too long.

When people allowed the tormenting fear of bad governance and an oppressive conditions to take a disproportionate toll on them so much so that nothing seemed able to lift their spirit, subjected to prolonged and cruel maladministration and become so traumatized that they lost hope of possible redemption, they slips into doubts, distrust and desolation due to such protracted and severe condition.

As Kogi state draw fast towards the November guber elections they do not need a soothsayer or a fortune teller to foretell what the consequence of selling their conscience and exchange the next four years for a meagre two – two naira notes  or a few mudu of rice, by way of vote buying and not succumb to any form of intimidation or blackmail.

If they do, the fortune teller story of getting used to the sordid state of suffering and pain with the attendant  lamentations will persist unabated for the next four years with no one but themselves to be blamed.

Usman Jibrin is here to help Kogites bear the burden of the pains and suffering of the past yeas.

He is feeling for his people in their plight his compassion is deep enough to compel the needful and  helpful actions even from Heavens, Aso rock and APC NWC.

It is unimaginable how human mind  works. Not surprisingly, the tormentors who made lies their refuge and falsehood their hiding places and blatant impunity are at the top of it !

How Aso Rock and the APC NWC seems to always belief every of such lies despite the huge cries of lamentations from Kogi people and indeed other Nigerian who feels for them  had left many mouths ajar in bewilderment.
Unfortunately, in this part of the world, those who find themselves in positions of power considered themselves highly privileged, quickly forgetting how it is the people themselves that surrendered to them their freedom and mandate, where the people’s choice were allowed.

However, as the mandatory four years of engagement winds to a close, they realizes very late how delicate and precarious their positions are and result to unholy and ungodly desperation and intimidation.

It is very  certain that without pain a new life will not begin.

Women experience excruciating pain in labour because nature and Providence made it so; but as soon as she is delivered of the child, her pains and groans are over, joy and happiness takes over.

Kogi people will soon breath a sigh of deep relief from pains and torments of the past if and only if they are indeed tired of the chains of slavery foisted on them and together resolves that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Weeping may endure for the night , but joy will definitely come in the morning. For everything there is a moment and for every situation there must come change.

For Kogi people, the change is here, the new dawn is here !

They should embrace and collectively endorse Admiral Usman Jibrin in their soul as the incoming Governor of Kogi state come November 16, 2019 for, enough should  indeed enough.

Kogi people must consciously focus on what their tomorrow especially the next four years should look like, keep the struggling on the  top tempo and assiduously concentrate on the urgent need to  salvage the rot.

Distress calls must continue unabated, to be sent to Heavens, to Aso Rock and to the APC National Headquarters detailing the pains and agony the people of the confluence state has had to bear in the last four solid years, pointing out that another four years in such state is sentencing the citizens into untold and unbearable pain and agony and indeed untimely death.

In the words of one of the most honourable royal father’s Kogi state have known, the erudite Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, “you can only be honoured at home if you left a honourable mark at home”.

Admiral Usman Jibrin deserved unreservedly the honour Kogi people are set at bestowing on  him and nobody outside or within Kogi State should be allowed to deny them the opportunity.

The very dynamic Admiral Usman Jibrin as Chief of Naval Staff  of the Federal Republic of Nigeria  facilitated and brought to Kogi State three great federal facilities, thereby deliberately leaving a very delible imprint on the landscape of Kogi state at a time he never gave thought of today’s glorious recognition, he left a “mark of honour at home”

The Naval base at Banda village in Lokoja, Naval base at Idah and a Navy Secondary School in Dekina Local Government Area. Are some of the marks of honour.

This man love  his people with a tremendous love and resolve.
Little wonder the Audu/Faleke political family, the super political structure that midwifed APC into recognition and acceptance in Kogi state, seeing in him the features of the man who will fulfill the promises made to Kogi people in 2015 for which the people massively voted for APC and the candidates roundly  bequeathed the legacy on him !

Very astonishing it is that Jibrin is inhering this very solid political structure despite some of our late Principal Prince Abubakar Audu’s biological children contesting.

The Audu/Faleke political structure, the goose that laid the golden egg some people are now feeding extremely fat on in 2015 guber election can definitely not continue seat at the back to continue to lament while the same people that entrusted them with their mandate three and a half years ago continue to suffer, groan and lament.

Kogi state is drifting, and it must as a matter if urgency be put back on track.

APC must not loose Kogi state but the party  for it not to loose the state must not gamble with the feelings of the people. Rather, must be willing and be ready to loose any one who out of impunity does not represent the ideals of the party.

The Audu/Faleke political family with Usman as the tourch bearer cannot afford to fail for if they do posterity will not forgive them.

It is of utmost important that they must encourage Kogi people to have and exercise faith, show confidence in Heaven’s sustaining and protection power in their ability to doing it right.

If Kogi people are going to be free from falsehood and deception, impunity and maladministration, regardless of the very harsh econonic and social situations they are today being forced to face in the midst of  humongous financial resources available to the state, it is highly imperative that they must immediately be engrafted in the belief that the next four years of their earthly sojourn is in their hands as legally domiciled in their Permanent voters card PVC.
